This is Your Life. No, Really.

This is Your Life

Enough Said.

Okay maybe not. This picture inspired me to add my thoughts. I’m going to write this up as if I’m speaking to myself. In other words, this is me preaching to myself. It’s not me pointing the finger at others.

I’ll probably keep adding to this as time goes on as well. It is my inspiration manifesto. To me, this is the deepest level of inspiration; making the most of life just because.

This is your life.
This is your life! This is a simple truth. Profound by all means. This statement is an ‘elusive obvious.’ Easy to understand, hard to fully internalize and make use of.

Often times this statement is meaningless until a person experiences some form of death. After that, we realize that this life is finite.

This life is YOURS. No one else’s. Make the most of it. No excuses. Do what it takes to be who you want to be. No other options. No ifs ands or buts.

Do what you love, and do it often.
In order to do what you love, you must first make a decision to find hobbies and interests that you love. This takes guts. Living a passionate life takes guts.

It’s easy to be a passionless stub floating through existence in a discontent funk.

Carving your own path takes guts. When you decided to love something, you close the door on loving other things. This is fine. We only have so much time and energy. Decided to choose your loves, and love them and do them often.

If you don’t like something, change it.
You are not a tree. You can move, you can take action, you can be proactive. Throw the victim mentality in the garbage. Take responsibility for your life and your decisions. Stop blaming the environment. You are not a victim.

If you don’t like your job, quit.
Either change your thoughts about reality, or change reality. If you hate your job, change your thoughts and attitudes, or find something else to do.

No more living life with the stench of a discontent funk lurking around you. Again, you are not a tree. Do something. Expand your world. There are endless opportunities and endless resources available. Become a learning machine. Study. Browse the book store. Browse wikipedia.

Resources are everywhere. Get out of the rut and take action. Make making money a hobby. Turn your job into a passion. From this state of passion, creativity and resourcefulness will flow.

If you don’t have enough time, stop watching tv.
Or aimlessly surfing the internet. Cut out the bullshit. Stop wasting your time and then complaining that you don’t have any time. No more bullshitting yourself. Your time is your responsibility. We have a finite amount of it. Optimize it.

If you are looking for the love of your life, STOP; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love.
Get into systems that put you into proximity with people who share your values, interests, and hobbies. Charities, seminars, classes, etc. Let yourself shine.

True love comes from living honestly and being authentic. Not from putting up fronts.

“Playing small doesn’t serve the world.”

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”

Dr. Seuss

Stop over analyzing, life is simple.
It’s called mental masturbation. Stop it. It serves no purpose. Life IS simple. It is about taking action. Life is movement. Engage in what’s real, not your brain’s bullshit.

All emotions are beautiful.
Acceptance. Accept reality and your emotional reactions to it. Resistance is futile. That which you resist, persists.

When you eat, appreciate every last bite.
Be thankful.

You are blessed. We are all undeservedly reaping the benefits of the hardships of people that came before us.

Our ancestors that fought, discovered, invented, and shared to make this life easier. Stop bullshitting yourself that you’ve got it tough. You don’t. End of story.

Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences.
Variety is a good thing. Diversity is a good thing. It’s okay for someone to have a differing opinion.

It’s okay for people to have differing ways of life. They are not wrong. You are not right. Anyone’s explanation of life is as good as any other. The atheist, the tribesman, and the christian all just want to feel certainty.

Existence is a mystery no matter how you look at it and we are all traveling through this together.

Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them.
“Seek to understand.” Look for reasons to enjoy other people’s presence. Stop trying to be appreciated, and start appreciating. We are all living in our own little world. Try to understand other people’s worlds. Passion is contagious, share it.

Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself.
Look for opportunities that force you out of your head, and into the moment. Without pressure, there are no diamonds. Get out of your comfort zone as often as possible. Your comfort zone will then become expanded.

Some opportunities only come once; seize them.
Life is a game of decision making. Study. Learn. Educate yourself to make the best decisions and take the right actions.

There are billions of potential opportunities and decisions floating around everywhere. Grab what ones you want without hesitation. Tell the part of your brain that is lazy to **** off. Tell the part of your brain that is scared to **** off.

Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them so get out and start creating.
Imagine yourself completely alone. It is the definition of hell. We need each other. Be a giver. Be a leader. Be a person of value. Share.

Live your dream, and wear your passion.
This is LIFE. Do not take it for granted. Live it to the best of your abilities. Commit to this. Decide who you are and what you’re about and be proud of it.

Life is short.
This life is finite. Who really knows what comes after. No one. We all have our beliefs and ideas, but no one really knows. This is why you must live it to the fullest. Living life to the fullest is a mindset.

Is is living with passion. It is pursing your hobbies and interests. It is giving love freely. Liberate yourself. Know this life is coming to an end. Make the most of it. Life is not to be taken seriously, because in the end we all just die. Have fun. Laugh often.

No bullshit.

No excuses.

Your creator wants you to make the most of this experience. Do it.

“The definition of success–To laugh much; to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one’s self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition.; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived–this is to have succeeded.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson
