The Importance of Solitude

The Importance of Solitude

There is beauty in solitude.

Self-reflection, self-creation, and connection happen through it.

It’s through solitude that spirituality is found.

Solitude is time for thought where we get to know ourselves. We face our demons and deal with them. We create space, unwind and find peace. Solitude allows you to find your own voice. Solitude allows you to connect with the universe and the creative force behind it.

“I live in that solitude which is painful in youth, but delicious in the years of maturity.”

Albert Einstein

“I never found the companion that was so companionable as solitude. We are for the most part more lonely when we go abroad among men than when we stay in our chambers.”

Henry David Thoreau

“Solitude is for the strong, or for those who are ready to become strong. When a man is becoming great, he becomes solitary. He goes in solitude to seek, and that which he seeks, he finds, for there is a Way to all knowledge, all wisdom, all truth, and all power. And the Way is for ever open, but it lies through soundless solitudes and the unexplored silences of man’s being.”
